Dress To Impress by Mohini ("we", "us", "our"), proprietor Mohini Sachin Shinde, respects your privacy and is committed to protecting the personal information you share with us. This policy explains what we collect, why, and your rights under the Digital Personal Data Protection (DPDP) Act, 2023.
Information we collect
- Your name, mobile number, email address and delivery address, provided when you place an order or contact us.
- Order details such as items purchased, size, amount and courier tracking.
- Your PIN code, which we check against India Post's public pincode service to fill in your city, district and state automatically while you type.
- A review you choose to submit (your name, rating and comment). Reviews are published only after we approve them.
- Basic technical data (device and browser) used only to keep the website secure and working.
We do not collect or store your card, UPI or bank details. All payments are handled directly on Razorpay's secure gateway.
How we use your information
- To process, pack, ship and track your orders.
- To contact you about your order or replacement requests, mostly over WhatsApp.
- To improve our products, service and website.
- To meet legal, tax (GST) and accounting requirements.
Sharing your information
We share only what is necessary and never sell your data. Limited details are shared with:
- Our courier partners (Anjani Courier Service and India Post) to deliver your order.
- Razorpay, to process your payment securely.
- Supabase, which hosts our database, product images and login system, and therefore stores your account and order details on our behalf.
- Resend, which sends your order confirmation email. This email includes your name, order details and delivery address.
- Vercel, which hosts and serves this website.
- India Post's public pincode service, which receives only the PIN code you type (no name, contact or address).
- Google Maps, if you view the map on our Contact page. Google may set its own cookies and see your IP address. The rest of the site does not embed Google Maps.
- Government or legal authorities where required by law.
We do not use any advertising, analytics or tracking services, and there are no third-party tracking pixels on this site.
Cookies and local storage
We use only what the site needs to work — no advertising or analytics cookies:
- A login cookie, if you sign in to your account.
- Your language and light/dark theme preference.
- Your shopping cart and wishlist, and whether you have seen our intro screen. These stay in your own browser's storage and are never sent to us.
You can clear or block these in your browser settings, though signing in and the cart will stop working.
Data security
We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your data. However, no method of transmission over the internet is completely secure.
Your rights
Under the DPDP Act, 2023 you may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data, and you may withdraw consent at any time. Contact us using the details below and we will respond within a reasonable time. Please note we must keep order and tax records that Indian law requires us to retain.
Data retention
We keep order and tax records for as long as Indian law requires, and delete personal data that is no longer needed.
